SUMMARY:MU Extension Offers Free Diabetes Education Program
DESCRIPTION:Faith Community Health\, Neighbor's Pharmacy\, and the Regional Arthritis Center have partnered with MU Extension to offer a Diabetes Self-Management Program starting on Valentine's Day.  This 6-week program is geared toward people with diabetes or pre-diabetes.  Family members and caregivers are also encouraged to register.  Topics will include: appropriate exercise\, healthy eating\, meal planning\, glucose monitoring\, action plans\, how to prepare for sick days\, and complications from diabetes.  The program is interactive so people can find support and build the confidence to be successful at managing their health.
