DESCRIPTION:The Missouri Job Center and the Missouri State University Small Business Development Center are teaming up to present Equal Opportunity Lunch and Learn Training for local employers in a seven-county region comprised of Christian\, Dallas\, Greene\, Polk\, Taney\, Stone and Webster. The Stone County EO Lunch and Learn training will be held Tuesday\, June 11\, 12:00 1:30 pm\, at the Port of Kimberling Resort\, 201 Marina Way\, in Kimberling City.\n\n\n\nEach county in the Ozark Region will host an EO Lunch and Learn Training throughout the months of May and June.\n\n\n\n"These 90-minute sessions provide human resource training to local employers on the Americans With Disabilities Act and how employers can make accommodations to meet the needs of the work-force\," said Sally Payne\, assistant director of the Missouri Job Center.\n\n\n\nParticipants will also learn more about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace\, Payne said. The curriculum will address high level legal issues and concerns most employers have in regard to human resources. It will discuss equal opportunity and what obligations an employer has. It will address the Americans with Disabilities Act and how employers can make average accommodations to meet the needs of their workforce.
