Gardens mean access to healthy foods. Access to healthy foods can help communities be healthier and improve their quality of life. The good news is that gardens are trending up! However, there’s much more to harvesting than snapping and pulling. To learn more, attend the "Harvesting and Storing Produce" workshop. This is the first of the food preservation workshop series. Participants will learn how to preserve garden produce safely and efficiently. For a fee of $20, each participant receives entrance to the workshop and a dinner prepared with fresh, local produce. If successful, community partner and host, Rocking W Farm & Home in Crane will consider providing other workshops such as picking, salsa, and jerky making.
