The City of Crane is open Monday - Friday, 8-5pm, with the exception of bank holidays.

About Us
The City of Crane is in the Northwest corner of Stone County. Crane, Missouri, is a charming small town in the Ozarks with a rich history, scenic beauty, and unique attractions. Here are some great reasons to visit:
1. Railroad History & Restoration Efforts: Crane has a deep railroad heritage, and the city is actively restoring a Missouri Pacific White River Railroad caboose with historically accurate details. QR code exhibits are in development, by the Society of Ozarkian Hillcrofters and the Stone County Museum, linking visitors to historical photos, artifacts and stories of the town’s railroad and cultural past.
2. Annual Crane Broiler Festival: Held during the last full weekend before Labor Day, this long-running festival celebrates Crane’s agricultural roots with a massive barbecue, parade, carnival, live music, and craft vendors.It’s one of the biggest local events, drawing visitors from all over southwest Missouri.
3. Natural Beauty & Outdoor Activities: The Crane Creek area offers trout fishing and stunning views of the Ozarks. It’s one of the few places where McCloud rainbow trout naturally reproduce. The City's parks and trails offer opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and nature photography. The Wireroad Conservation Area, Trail of Tears and Butterfield StaThe City Municipal Pool is open from May thru August.
4. Shopping & Dining: There are unique shops and restaurants in the community as well as a local grocery store, pharmacy & clinic.
