About Us

After more than 70 years of compassionate care in the community, the mission that drives Cox Medical Center Branson remains as strong as the bricks that built it: To improve the health of those it serves.
While the original brick hospital is still the pillar of the medical center’s campus, new expansions have nestled in beside it to accommodate seven decades of growth – seeing Branson bloom from a rural town to a booming tourist destination.
The 5-star hospital is conveniently located near highway 65 in downtown Branson and includes 165 licensed beds for inpatient care, a 5-story Outpatient Center, Cancer Center, 24-hour Emergency Department, and an Urgent Care.
In 2013, Skaggs Community Hospital joined CoxHealth, a six-hospital health system headquartered in Springfield, MO. Since that collaboration, CoxHealth has invested more than $30 million in the Branson community, expanding the hospital’s critical care unit and emergency department. The system recently announced another $15 million investment to build a “super clinic” near the Branson RecPlex, which will include primary and specialty care and a second Urgent Care.
Aside from its 5-star recognition from CMS, Cox Branson has also been honored for excellence in stroke and cardiac care for the past five years in addition to being named one of Modern Healthcare magazine’s “Best Places to Work.”
