About Us
Founded in 1976, the Stone County HIstorical/Genealogical Society Museum (SCHGS-Museum) researches, protects and shares the stories and artifacts related to the rich history of Stone County Missouri before Table Rock Lake. Located in Crane (northern Stone County), the museum also has satellite exhibits in Hurley, Kimberling City, Galena and Reeds Spring. A 501(c)3 all volunteer organization, the SCHGS-Museum can always use help with tax deductible donations, volunteer hours or help with publicity efforts.
