Description
To help people meet their health goals, Taney County MU Extension and Faith Community Health have teamed up to offer Eating Smart, Being Active. This program includes 16 exercise classes that meet twice weekly AND 7 healthy eating classes that meet once a week. Exercise classes include: Warm-up exercises, Eight strengthening exercises with or without hand and ankle weights (provided), and Cool-down stretches. Healthy eating classes include: handouts and tips, recipes, cooking demonstrations and taste tests.
Previous participants are welcome to register. This program is designed to teach older and inactive middle aged adults how to begin lifting weights to improve strength and reduce fall risk.
