Description

Edward Jones Principal Lisa Peel assumed leadership for building the Financial Planning capability at Edward Jones in 2023. Financial Planning develops holistic integrated financial advice, strategies, tools, resources and best practices in direct support of our 20,000 branch teams.
Lisa began her Edward Jones career in 1991 as a financial advisor. Three years later, she relocated to the St. Louis headquarters, where she served as a financial advisor trainer and New Financial Advisor Support team leader before returning to the field in 1997.
Over the next five years, she worked closely with individual investors to help meet their long-term financial goals and grew her branch office more than tenfold. The experience gained while serving as a financial advisor served Lisa well. In 2003, she was named an Edward Jones principal and returned to the headquarters as a Branch and Region Development area leader to support financial advisors on the West Coast. From mid-2007 to January 2010, she led Financial Advisor Support.
In 2010, Lisa assumed responsibility for marketing financial assessment tools and services and training associates to use them. As the firm transitioned from transaction- to solutions-based tools, Lisa’s responsibilities mirrored that change. She assumed responsibility for Solutions Coaching and Consultation, which included Solutions Coaching, the Client Consultation Group, the Insurance Consultation team, and Solutions and CEI Consultation, and later became responsible for the entire Solutions area within Wealth Management.
A native of Washington, Indiana, Lisa earned a finance degree from Ball State University. She has served on the firm’s Operating Committee and currently serves on the firm’s Leadership Coalition. She has completed the Senior Women’s Leadership Program at Kellogg’s School of Management at Northwestern University, the three-year program at the Wharton School’s Securities Industry Institute, and has received her Advanced Management Certificate from the Washington University Olin Business School.

As a financial advisor, Dan Klug has been providing tailored strategies and financial advice to individual investors and small-business owners in and around his hometown of Chesterfield, Mo., for more than a decade. In addition to the responsibilities of his business, Dan has consistently stepped up to assist other financial advisors and served his region as a performance leader, growth leader, field trainer, level leader and mentor before being named a regional leader in 2018. He has also helped prospective financial advisors capitalize on the opportunities Edward Jones has to offer by recruiting a dozen financial advisors and completing two asset-sharing programs. He was named a principal in 2020.
Dan graduated from the University of Dayton in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in finance. He later earned the CFP® professional designation.
