About Us

Hi! I’m Laura Prather, founder and editor of Paola Lane Magazine. In January 2022, I could no longer ignore the tug in my spirit to start a magazine. Not knowing anything else (including how to create a magazine!), the magazine started out—and continues to be—a journey of rediscovery. Every step is full of delight, adventure, and revelation. This magazine, in reality, seems to be a journal of my own life discovery. It’s my very heart.

I wanted to create something beautiful, excellent, inspiring…but also fulfilling to my soul and spirit. I wanted real stories, no pretense, honest questions, and slowing down enough to find joy and meaning in the little things. I choose a THEME with each edition and then start searching and exploring. Each issue is full of art and stories to delight, inspire, and encourage your soul. It is 100 pages of AD-free pleasure. As one reader says, “It feels like a vacation for my soul.”
