About Us

Pzazz was originally founded by professional baseball player, Jack Hamilton. Jack was born in 1938 in Burlington, Iowa. He made his major league debut as a pitcher with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1962. He was well known for his power and occasional spitball. In 1967, Jack hit a Grand Slam against the STL Cardinals. Jack went on to play for the NY Mets, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, and the California Angels.

After Jack retired from baseball in 1970, he and his wife Jan, opened their first restaurant, Jack’s Clubhouse, in Morning Sun, Iowa. They owned restaurants in both Iowa and Illinois before moving to Branson, Missouri in 1986. Jack and Jan owned or operated Jack & Tommy’s, the 19th Hole, and Pzazz Restaurants, all in Branson. Jack would often be found sitting at the corner of the bar drinking Diet Rite or playing cards nearby with friends.

Jack retired from the restaurant and catering business in 2012 when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. He passed away in February 2018 at 79 years old, but his legacy continues!
