(Branson, MO) This past August, Branson Bank, along with the support of Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB), presented contributions totaling $50,000 to four area non-profits.
Through their membership of FHLB Des Moines, Branson Bank was made aware of an opportunity to apply for Member Impact Fund Grants in May and the community bank submitted proposals hoping to increase monetary support for several area non-profits; organizations that align with the bank’s values and heavily impact the Taney and Stone County communities.
If approved, grant recipients could receive up to $3 for every $1 that Branson Bank contributed. All four applications submitted by Branson Bank were approved for the maximum match.
“The Member Impact Fund is designed to help our members champion the organizations that make a real difference in their communities,” said Kris Williams, president and chief executive officer of FHLB Des Moines. “By partnering with our members, we’re able to multiply resources and support their vital work as they continue to strengthen opportunities for the people they serve.”
With the support of FHLB Des Moines, Branson Bank held four check presentations in support of:
Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks (BGCO). A $10,000 contribution was presented supporting their mission in providing a safe, structured environment, after school and in the summer, where youth receive academic support, mentorship, leadership, and healthy meals throughout Taney and Stone Counties. Veterans of the Ozarks (VOTO). A $10,000 contribution was presented to further support programs that facilitate camaraderie, advocacy, education, and outreach. Christian Action Ministries (CAM). A $10,000 contribution will help stretch every dollar, combatting food insecurity, while providing resources that encourage self-sufficiency and independence. Table Rock Career Center (TRCC). A $20,000 contribution will offset expenses for personal protective equipment designed to educate and train students to become workforce ready.
