Christian Action Ministries Hosts Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Stone County Pantry

Stone County, MO —Christian Action Ministries hosted a ribbon cutting on July 1 to celebrate the grand opening of the Stone County Food Pantry located at 385 State Highway 76, in Reeds Spring.  The celebration kicked off at noon with a ribbon cutting hosted by Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce joined by the Hollister and Branson Chambers of Commerce.

“This has truly been a journey of faith and perseverance,” Michele Dean, Executive Director of Christian Action Ministries said about the collaborative partnership that made the pantry possible.

After an extensive and determined effort by the Board of Directors of Christian Action Ministries, the organization secured the former Gibson Tech Building’s marine bay as the permanent home of the pantry. The new client-choice pantry model allows individuals and families to select food items much like a traditional grocery shopping experience. This approach not only supports nutritional preferences and dietary restrictions but also fosters a sense of empowerment and respect.

“This marks a significant step forward in addressing food insecurity in the region while preserving the dignity and choice of those in need,” Dean added.

The pantry is expected to serve a growing number of families in the area, providing access to nutritious food in a welcoming and supportive environment.
