City of Kimberling City Launches Charitable Giving Campaign for Future Multi-Generational Park

Community Selects Future Park Name to be Revealed During October 16 Groundbreaking and Party at the Park Event

KIMBERLING CITY, MO – The City of Kimberling City in partnership with the Friends of Kimberling City Parks Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the Charitable Giving Campaign for its future multi-generational park, marking a significant milestone in a project years in the making.

The campaign launch celebrates the partnerships, planning, and community support that have moved the park from vision to reality. It also comes as the community prepares for two major milestones: the October 16 groundbreaking celebration and the official unveiling of the park's name, selected through a community-wide voting process.

After years of collaboration, visioning, and community engagement, Kimberling City is preparing to take the next major step forward as plans move toward construction. The future park has been thoughtfully designed to create opportunities for recreation, wellness, connection, and community gathering while preserving the values and quality of life that make Kimberling City such a special place to call home.

"This park will represent the very best of our community," said Korina Jones, Park Board Chair." It reflects years of collaboration, shared vision, and a commitment to future generations. Together, we're creating a place where families will gather, children will play, and lasting memories will be made for decades to come."

The Park Naming Campaign

The future park is being built by the community, and now the community has helped shape its identity.

Following a community-wide naming campaign, residents, visitors, businesses, and supporters cast votes to help select the future park's official name. The response reflected the enthusiasm and pride surrounding a project designed to serve families, strengthen community connections, and create lasting memories for generations to come.

More than a name, the campaign represents a shared commitment to creating something meaningful together. The winning name will be revealed during the groundbreaking celebration on October 16, 2026, marking another milestone in the park's journey from vision to reality.

Groundbreaking Celebration Scheduled for October 16

Momentum continues to build as the City of Kimberling City prepares for the official groundbreaking celebration on October 16, 2026.

The event will mark the beginning of construction on the community's highly anticipated multi-generational park with a highlight of the official unveiling of the park's name, representing the community's vision for a place that will serve generations to come. Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to stay for the Party at the Park, featuring music, refreshments, and guided tours of the future park site.

Residents, businesses, community partners, and supporters are invited to attend and celebrate this historic moment as Kimberling City takes the next step toward creating a place that will enrich lives, strengthen community connections, and serve families for generations.

Building a Legacy Together
