Stone County Septic Rebate Helps Homeowners Protect Water Quality

Stone County, MO – H2Ozarks has launched a new septic pump out rebate program for homeowners in Stone County. The program is designed to help homeowners maintain their septic systems while protecting local streams, lakes, groundwater, and public health.

Through the program, eligible Stone County homeowners can receive a $50 rebate when they have their septic tank pumped out by a licensed contractor. Regular septic system maintenance helps prevent costly system failures, sewage backups, and wastewater contamination that can impact neighboring properties and local waterways.

"Proper septic system maintenance is one of the most effective ways homeowners can protect both their property and our region’s water resources," said Jerry Harman, Program Director for H2Ozarks. "This rebate program provides an incentive for routine maintenance that benefits individual homeowners and protects the entire community."

Septic tanks should generally be pumped out every three to five years, depending on household size, tank size, and system use. Preventative maintenance can help homeowners avoid repairs or replacements that may cost thousands of dollars.

Program Eligibility and Requirements

· Property must be located within Stone County, Missouri.

· Applications must be submitted before the septic tank is pumped.

· Signed rebate forms and paid invoices must be submitted within 90 days of application.

· Only one rebate is available per household.
