The Butterfly Palace's Non-Profit Foundation - Friends of Butterflies and the Rainforest Foundation

BRANSON, MO. — August 18, 2026 —  Recent earthquakes caused significant devastation in affected areas of Colombia, impacting families, communities and businesses. Among those affected is Alas de Colombia Butterfly Farm, a valued conservation partner dedicated to butterflies, sustainable breeding and protecting the natural ecosystems of Colombia.  

In response to the devastating impact on the butterfly farm and its operating families, Friends of Butterflies and the Rainforest Foundation, has donated $1,500 to Alas de Colombia Butterfly Farm to help support recovery efforts following the disaster. This was only possible through the generosity of guests who visited The Butterfly Palace.

Our hearts are with the people of Colombia and the team at Alas de Colombia as they recover from this devastating earthquake.”

Through Friends of Butterflies and the Rainforest Foundation, The Butterfly Palace supports additional organizations and initiatives working to protect butterflies, rainforests and the communities that depend on these ecosystems.

The relationship with Alas de Colombia represents the importance of international cooperation in butterfly and rainforest conservation. Butterfly farms and conservation organizations play an important role in preserving butterfly species, educating the public and supporting sustainable practices that help protect natural habitats.
