Branson West, Missouri — The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve as a partner of Grow with Google, making scholarships available that cover 100% of the cost of qualifying Google Career Certificates and specializations for eligible participants age 16 and older.
“Being a Grow with Google Partner is a workforce win for Stone County employers and for individuals who want to build a stronger future,” said Sheila Thomas, President/CEO of the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Through this partnership, the Chamber is helping create stronger workforce opportunities for employers, current employees, job seekers, and students throughout Stone County. The scholarships provide access to flexible online training designed to help individuals build job-ready skills for in-demand careers, strengthen performance in their current roles, or prepare for new opportunities as business needs grow.
“These scholarships give businesses a no-cost way to help employees build practical, in-demand skills that can strengthen their teams today and support long-term growth for our local workforce. They also create opportunities for people who want to learn new skills, grow the skills they already have, or start a new career path. It is an investment in people, in business success, and in the future strength of Stone County,” Thomas added.
Nearly two-thirds of all new jobs created since 2010 require either high- or medium-level digital skills, yet one in three American workers have very limited or no digital skills. To help bridge that gap, Google created the Google Career Certificates program.
Launched in 2018 as part of Grow with Google, the certificates support training in several high-demand fields, including:
• Cybersecurity
• Data Analytics
• Digital Marketing and E-Commerce
• IT Support
• Project Management
• User Experience (UX) Design
The certificates do not require a college degree or prior experience and can typically be completed online within three to six months of part-time study. The program also includes an employer consortium of more than 150 companies — including Walmart, Verizon, and Google — that are committed to considering graduates for relevant entry-level roles.
The program has already demonstrated significant results. More than 500,000 people worldwide have graduated from the program, including 200,000 in the United States. Among graduates, 75% report a positive career impact — such as a new job, higher pay, or promotion — within six months of completion. Additionally, 55% of U.S. graduates identify as Asian, Black, or Latino, and 35% come from the lowest income strata in the country, earning under $30,000 a year before upskilling to roles with median incomes of approximately $76,000.
Since its launch in 2017, Grow with Google has helped more than 10 million Americans develop new skills and has built a network of more than 9,000 partner organizations, including libraries, schools, small business development centers, chambers of commerce, and nonprofit organizations.
The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce encourages employers, employees, students, and job seekers age 16 and older to explore the scholarship opportunity and apply.
